Detailed statistics for Anglesey, Holyhead and Holyhead wards are produced as part of the UK Census. See www.ons.gov.uk for information on the Census. The results of the 2011 Census are not yet available. A summary report showing key 2001 Census statistics for Holyhead wards is available to download below.

Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation
The Welsh Assembly Government produce a periodic index of local socio-economic deprivation levels. The 2001 ward-based report showed four of Holyhead's wards being among the 100 most deprived wards in Wales. The new index produced in 2005 is based on LSOA's, of which there are far more in Wales than wards. This has was updated in 2008 and 2011.
